Good ideas, but it's just a little sad to count out 20 or 35 nuts.

On the news the other day "to eat health 1000 calories cost $18 but eat junk food for the same calories $1.70" any one see the sadness in that. It use to be the well off good afford junk food, now it is the well off that can afford to eat healthy.

To Vickie T - follow the food pyramid - go to www.mypyramid.gov plug in the weight you want to be when signing up. Type in everything you eat every day. This will teach you how many calories you eat each day. Slowly try to eat less and less calories (it will tell you how many calories you should be eating for your height and the weight you should be) and you WILL lose weight. God Bless.

I love the tips for this article. I've been wondering what I can sit and munch on inbetween meals, that isn't a veggie. Unfortunately I'm allergic to all nuts though. Does anyone know what "Barbara's Puffins" are? Vickie T: I'm worried about you! Have you talked with a Dr.? Weight Watchers is excellent, and very inexpensive. Please don't feel you have no value just because of your weight. You DO have value!!! There are also a lot of web sites that can help you. Run a search for them, ok? I cannot work out either, due to seriously injuries from an auto accident. I try to do isometric (SP?) excercise. If you start out doing a few minutes a day, and then build up, you'd be surprised how much you can do. And make exercise fun, ok? It doesn't have to be gruleing. If you have kids, take them skating. Even shopping is good exercise. If you'd like to talk, IM me, ok? Maria_794. I wish you the best!
