i have maintained weight loss for 7 years, the key for me is to plan my meals in advance. i have a self employed husband and three children who need to be at different places at the same time. the evening before i prepare lunches for the children and myself. i also know what i will have for dinner, several times during the week i plan something different that what the kids are eating. i might make the same meat but the sides are different.i try to avoid frozen entrees because of the high sodium.

For comment #1-I work two jobs and go to college part-time-the drive thru is usually faster, but I feel fat and tired after. To avoid fast food I've found it easier to keep "fast food" at home-bagged salad that can be quickly tossed in a container w/ dressing, soup!(i eat a lot of) is fast-keep a bowl at work and just grab the can before you leave, simple sandwichs like pb&j, yogurt(low sugar kind), and fruit and granola bars. It may not be as healthy as what I could make in an hour at home-but it sure beats McDonalds. Just make sure you bring enough for the whole day too-so if you are out from 8am to 10pm you will probably want 2 small snacks and 2 meals.
