There's a company called Longevinex that distributes a highly concentrated version of resveratrol derived from the skin of grapes used in French red wines and from the giant knotweed plant. This provides the health-promoting properties of red wine without alcohol, calories, or sulfite preservatives. It's health benefits are outstanding and those opposed to alcohol consumption should consider this along with their regular dietary supplementations.

I agree with all the people who get angry that these "news" or "newsy" reports from poorly done studies that exclude the millions of alcohol addicted people report on the benefits never include: 1) YOU HAVE TO MENTION THAT THIS IS NOT FOR DIABETICS AND ALCOHOLICS 2) People who abuse alcohol under report their drinking, they should avoid alcoholic beverages altogether because even if 1-2 drinks is fine they don't regulate and dose alcohol properly like medicine. They're addicts and this is exact type of misinformation they quote in my own family to excuse returning to destructive behaviors which has devastated the rest of us. 3) Heart health is nothing when your kidney, cognitive function (BRAIN), and blood sugar are totally thrown off by booze-- one or more of these devastating effects applies to everyone. There are so many better ways to improve heart health!!!!! There are more antioxidants in other beverages (coffee being one) and ALCOHOL IS ADDICTIVE and DANGEROUS to millions of people, and they're the ones that misuse these reports.
