instead of pushing pills why are doctors not encouraging their patients to diet and exercise healthy. this should be mandatory, there are too many people taking medications unnecessarily when a healthy lifestyle has better results instead of doctors getting money for pushing pills they should be rewarded for honestly working with the patients ,patients need to understand that one pill leads to another including diet pills

That is why Weight Watchers is the best, because it is not a "diet." It's just portion control. That is what most overweight people do is over eat. I'm learning having lost 35 lbs. Arlene

This is just common sense. Losing weight or keeping it off is easy if you just skip the garbage in your diet and do a bit of exercise. Watching american idol won't take it off, fatties.

I found the best way for me to lose weight is to elimate one or two unhealthy items and replace them with a healthier choice of either food or drink.Eating smaller portion sizes is also good to do.Works for me.

Actually you can watch American Idol and take off weight as long as you do your exercise routine while you watch and DON'T SNACK.

I have a friend that yo=yo diets. She's lost tons of weight and, unfortuntely, put evey single pound back on. I believe she has tried all 6 of these regimens. Now she it taking some supplement. i otice that she also does not drink wter, which is necessary in any successful weight loss strategy. It is the way the body gets rid of fat stored. The only proper way to get rid of unwanted poundage is through changing ones lifestyle- smaller portions and regular exercise-AND WATER!!!

I don't agree with diets that require you to cut out an entire food group. Lets keep in mind that the nutrition pyramid was developed by group of lawyers almost 50 yrs ago and was set that way in order to help the farmers and the economy at that time. I have lived on a form af the Atkins diet long before it was a fad and would gladly compare my health records to those eating to the daily nutrition standards set before most of us were born. I'm not saying you should form a diet around what everyone else does, I'm just saying that everyones needs can be ratically different. To each his(her) own. Thanks for listening.
