Parents note: Gummie type vitamins usually contain only about half of what a regular vitamin is so you need to take 2 gummies for every 1 regular vitamin. (Many parents I have spoken with don't realize this and give their child just 1 gummy)That also means that you get only half the amount of doses per bottle so really shop and compare carefully. Also, all of the gummies that I have seen don't contain iron (why they taste so good!) so be aware of that as well.

Most children's vitamins do not contain Iron as it is dangerous for them to get too much, and since everything (bread, cereal, and juice) is iron, calcium and or Vitamin C fortified, it is too much to have in a multivitamin. I stick 1/4-1/3 cup of pureed pumpkin (canned) in many foods for my kids, as it is sweet and one "serving" contains 800% RDA Vitamin A (Beta Carotene.) It makes their Mac-n-cheese MUCH healthier, and less worries about them actually eating their vegetables!

Multivitamins are a waste and are harmful to adults and children. Taking a multivitamin and thinking that it is going to do some good for you is like trying to make mud by throwing a handful of dirt into the ocean! It's just not going to happen. It has been proven that people who take multivitamins, on the average, die sooner than those who do not. One reason for this is that the multivitamins are made up of synthetic vitamins. These are chemical activators, not balanced vitamin nutrition. The synthetic vitamins damage the DNA of cells and the cells die prematurely from eating that garbage. I suggest you do your homework doctor and make recommendations that are going to help people, not cause harm to them.

ACK! All the kid's multis she recommends are LOADED with sugar and artificial colors (think autism). As a Nutritional Consultant I recommend Super Nutrition's Perfect Kids (tablets) for older Kids, or Organic Frog Chewables for younger kids (and adults-they are really tasty) or better yet-Supremix Green Drink; it's packed with dehydrated fruits and vegetables and sweetened with stevia. It's by far the best tasting green drink my colleagues and I have found.

Nothing like a Flintstone or Gummie, better off with a deficiency than all the garbage put in those.
