Don't forget you can always take your dark chocolate cocoa and mix it into a smoothie, shake, or another less than stellar cocoa and it will taste great.

Further to the topic, chocolates still bad for our health. It is not a healthy food for us what ever contents has the chocolates have. There are still some unhealthy ingredients that makes the chocolate tasty.

Have you discovered Xocai, by any chance. Not only is it 70% dark chocolate, but it is blended with acai...the berry from the Amazon which is a superfood, antioxidant.

Nobody really thinks it's a "health food." It's not going to be placed on dinner plates tomorrow across the country like a missing vegetable. However, eaten on occasion, in moderation, isn't unhealthy. I just view it as another food with antioxidants in it that I like, like red wine. It's not a staple of my diet that I have to have every day but if I drink it occasionally, so what. It's not going to kill me to have a few drinks on occasion anymore than it is a few bites of chocolate when I want it. Life isn't meant to be a prison.

I enjoy a small piece (read: not the whole bar) of Dove Dark Chocolate a few times a week. That's the only "candy" or sugar that I consume, other than fruits.

What about all that caffiene in dark chocolate? Know of any brands without any and with less sugar and less fat than most?

Well, "bhatpai," unless you are allergic to caffiene, so what? Don't eat it at bedtime - or better yet, slowly dissolve a thick piece of it on your tongue, along with a few sips of red wine, in the company of someone you like - at bedtime....

I am 11 and I didn't know dark chocolate was better! I thought it was worse than milk because it was fattier.

Try Endangered Species Brand. I get it at the Wild Harvest Section of Shaws, so I imagine it's readily available. The most economically priced bar out there, tastes the best I think, and meets all the ingredient requirements mentioned in this article. Also, 10% of profits are donated to great charities.
