Don't forget to drink plenty of water. Everything listed as a migraine trigger food is dehydrating. Your migraine can be prevented by drinking plenty of water.

The triggers hit home to me...glad I wasn't going crazy...artificial sweeteners KILL me, as does red and white wine. MSG..murder and whole wheat is NOT my friend.

I recently discovered that raw onion (especially red onion) is a huge trigger for me, not eating it AT ALL has cut my frequency of migraines in half.

I've found I can often (not always) fend off a migraine with a salty carbohydrate like popcorn or potato chips and a non-diet cola. Doesn't work with coffee or tea, though. And 3 aspirins (975 mg total) for the pain. But the other symptoms (lack of coordination, screwy depth perception, etc.) don't always go away.

sometimes, the best thing to do is go to sleep when you've got a migraine. sometimes they aren't triggered by food at all. there could be a more serious underlying health condition.

Monosodium Glutimate is definately my trigger for Migraine. Believe it or not, it is a main ingrediant in most potato chips (even doritos and Pringles), Mahatma Saffron rice and most chinese foods. If I avoid Monosodium Glutimate, no migraines, ever. I suffered for years till I learned about trigger foods, and began an experiment to determine which were triggers for me. Burning SAGE is also a triger for me.

If wheat is a trigger for your migraines, consider asking your doctor to test you for celiac disease (gluten intolerance). This disorder is more common in migraine sufferers.
