I think you can avoid most medications. Pay attention to what your body is telling you. Watch what you eat and take VEMMA. The most complete Nutritional Program. www.myvemma.com/RobsOnlineGiftShop

I am in the pre-hypertension category. Though I do half an hour exercise(arobic) everyday and take vegetarian meals with milk, fish and fruits, my blood pressure is still in the pre-hyper tension category. I stopped fully eating red meat and taking any kind of liquors/wines. Can you explain why my Blood pressur is not coming down to normal? I am aged 65 years. vinlorn.

It is so sad that so many people do not take their diet seriously. Shannon http://arthritis-symptom.com/

There are a lot of people like me. Good shape, work out daily, don't smoke, nor do I drink. I eat healthy...low salt, low fat, low carb and yet my blood pressure is still 138/85. Why? Probably genetics. My father has HBP. One thing they don't tell you is that there are perfectly healthy people who live their whole lives with moderate HBP. My father is 76 years old. His heart is fine, his health is fine. Yet, he has had a life long BP of about 140/90. He took HBP meds for 2 years..He was dizzy, nauseous, sleepy, really a different man. Finally, he went to an internest who said, "look, relax, your BP is not that high. Take a break from the meds and let us see how you feel. My dad did this along with watching his diet and salt and that was 20 years ago. He has a physical every year and he is fine. I do think HBP can be a warning sign and it is important to exercise, keep a healthy weight and ONLY, ONLY if you can't bet your BP down to a reasonable range should you even consider drugs. Sometimes the symptoms from the medications are worse than the disease. I say, do your homework, watch your diet, exercise and monitor your BP and you will be O.K...
