Even if you don't restrict your salt intake, hypertension can often be brought under control by doing other things. Drinking tea on a regular basis. Real tea reduces blood pressure (along with risk of heart attacks, risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, dementia, now they are saying Alzheimer's disease.) Anyone with hypertension should be drinking tea every single day. Specifically, black tea, green tea, white tea, or oolong tea. Also eating a handful of unsalted nuts and seeds every day is very important. At most, 1/4 cup of nuts is all that's needed. 1 tsp - 1Tbsp seeds are all that's necessary. Exercising every day is so important too. I don't know why that is left out of the picture of controlling hypertension. It will also help in the other areas you complained about. Also eating more fruits and vegetables every day religiously. Do it above and beyond the recommended daily servings. Add more water into your diet. You've got to do more than just suggest restrict your sodium to bring down your hypertension. That has also been known for some time as well. There are several fronts on which one must attack a problem, not just the one. While it is best to restrict your sodium with this problem, you see that you can still get by without doing it.
