    i am having hypertriglyceridemia 293mg/dl with 31 HDL. ive heard that dry fruits i.e. pistachio almonds can help increase HDL.is it true?niacin is not available in market. can you pleas tell its trade name,is it not nicotinamide?

    Why no mention of omega -3 (fish oil)? It is known to lower triglycerides significantly without the annoying side effects of niacin and gemfibrozil (known to cause gall stones)

    My triglyceride is something about 1100 and colestrole of 205.when i use gemfibrozil and nicotinic acid together with practice and diet all the things in my blood is normal but when i want to eliminate one of the gemfibrozil or nicotinic acid again my triglyceride goes up to 700.what should i do for the rest of my life to get ride of taking medicines?.if i continue to take medicines,whould it be dangerous for my health in long term?
