Joy, you are truly uneducated. You need to stop working for the food industry giants that are paying your salary and get an education that is meaningful. Heart disease was virtually non-existent before 1921 when the first case of cardio myfarction was discovered. Along with vegetable oils has come heart disease. Look at cultures that do not get heart disease that eat huge amounts of saturated fats and no vegetable oils. Eskimos eat a diet exclusively of animal fats and fish for 9 months out of every year and they do not get heart disease. Explain that one. In the early 30's, there were only 3,000 cases of heart disease. In the early 50's, there were 500,000 cases. What changed. The food industry realized they could make huge profits by selling vegetable oils, and the cattle industry found grain feed lots made them lots of money rather than growing cows on grass. Do your homework girl! High fat does not cause heart disease, only when vegetable oils, hydrogenation, sugar, white flour, and grains that are not soaked to get rid of the phytic acid that binds with calcium, magnesium, copper, and zinc in the intestines are present. No wonder 75% of all Americans are dying of heart disease with people like you promoting untrue facts. Cholesterol is a natural substance made in the body to strengthen arterial walls. It's the bad oils you are promoting that is creating much of the problem. Instead of looking at the so called scientific studies being done by the food industry to promote this garbage, look at the cultures in the world that do not have these problems and maybe our life expectancies will improve like 23 other countries in the world that have people that live longer than Americans. We now rank 24th in the world! Instead of 1 in 100,000 autistic children, we now have 1 in 79 male children being born with this. Does it even hit your radar that something is wrong with this picture, especially when this is not happening in other parts of the world. Do you know of ANY Vegan culture in the world that is healthy and live long lives? There are none. Why don't you write articles that truly promote health instead of this "boiler plate" garbage you are vomiting out from people that have no clue of what they are talking about that hide behind a scientific study paid for by big business that has an agenda of profit, not health?

Why are people still promoting soy as good for you. Soy slows your thyroid down. In fact, drug manufacturers have a statement in their literature on thyroid drugs like Synthroid that tell you not to eat soy because it will stop the action of the drug! Soy inhibits mineral absorption, especially iron (over 50%). This is why many vegetarians are anemic. Get the book called, "The Whole Soy Story" and read it to get a very good understanding of what the soy industry is doing to our food. Soy milk is loaded with sugar to mask the taste and contains white paint (titanium dioxide) to color it. If you drink it, you will at least have a nicely painted inner surface. lol. Dairy products are not bad for you, just the dairy products being sold on commercial shelves from grain fed cattle, high in omega 6 fatty acids, cheese that is "one day" produced instead of 90 day aged to get rid of the lactose. You really need to get your information from sources other than the so called scientific community that is funded and supported by the food industry that has a lot to gain from promoting profit over health.
