I am alergic to some of the newest and best blood pressure meds. like altace, ect. My pressure is about 130/80, but I'd like to lower it more. There is heart disease in the family and I'm on Lipitor 40mg. What is a good safe blood pressure med. with low side effects. Thank you.

Such informative articles create hope to heart patients like me. I had undergone angioplasty and stenting (6 in all) and this have significantly changed my lifestyle. Although I have not had a single attack in 6 years, I still need to update my knowledge as to how I can maintain my health. Thanks to these articles and thanks to the writers.
