Dear Dr. My doctor recently told me that my blood pressure medication might affect my heart. One of my friends is currently using an OTC lead-EKG and said it could help determine if my heart is affected by the medications I take. I thought blood pressure taking would determine if my heart is at risk - is that true? I thought EKGs were only for the emergency room - would you recommend getting and OTC EKG (like the one DailyCare USA is promoting in Skymall?? What should I look for?) Thanks- An old basketball player
