I have been married for seven years now, and I have been trying to get my husband to see a doctor for this problem...my husband does not think he has this problem. Yet in the past he has had two nervest breakdowns. His previous doctors noted this that he had this problem, he is not taking any medications. He has file for two bankruptcy, but not changed his attitude in buying things (compulsive buying)...I am almost to my end and about to leave him. Please help me.

Type D? I never had thought of it. I don'y believe we were meant to carry so much stress, after "they" reposses your car, turn off your lights, cut your cable, disconnect your phone it is still pointless to be "angry" at the world, when the problem lies within. Take a deep breath and remember the stresses of the world, are not worth putting your health at risk, 'cause if you let that happen...who's going to pay that Dr. bill?It is just as important to take care of your spiritul self, everything else will fall in place I promise,

Before we readers can take this column seriously, can you please provide details about the Netherlands study on which you base it? "A recent report from the Netherlands" is hardly a verifiable citation. Was it a clinical study? An observational study? A white paper? Something from a peer reviewed journal? More specifics, please!

I'm not very keen on this whole business of classing people as an A or a B or whatever. On any given day, at any given point, under varying circumstances, MOST of us will flounder back and forth between any concoctions some over-reaching psych student comes up with. Having said that, this article is FINALLY pointing out a step in the right direction. Consider this: a health study done on people who tend to be what we might call A-D versus those we would consider B-D. Then maybe medications could actually be properly tuned in to treat the overwhelmingly rare case of an individual who actually needs medication. OOOOPS! Welp, i guess i just blew that one away. That's the last kind of study big-pharma will actually put any money into. Unless maybe it's a study which could be manipulated and thereby debunked!!
