good to know... before this, i had never heard of anything other than the "cookie-cutter" type A and B personalities. seeing this, i reckon i'm probably a "D", to be perfectly honest. my next question is this... how or what correlations are there to these personality types and known mental illnesses? i dont enjoy feeling this way, or even choose to, and would like to treat it. im an otherwise loving person and mother, but when the hostility feelings, etc. hit, i feel powerless. ---like someone took away my censor butten and the ability to control, or sometimes even realize when im ready to go from fine to a blow-up. id certainly like to know more.............

Are you saying that Type D personality is sort of an insecure, slightly hostile wallflower ? It's a personality that's stable except for their insecurity which makes them more vulnerable to heart attacks and strokes ?

How helpful is this kind of category? Do we need it, even if it makes us feel better to label our spouses and mothers-in-law? Fear and the lack of security seems to be parts of the causes of such behavior.

I was a type D until I found Christ, so, this can be overcome, just by asking Christ into your life. Worked for me, Amen

Type C personalities are those with many similar attributes to Type As, but in a positive way, if I remember correctly...

UNBELIEVABLE! My fiance is a big double D. He has chest pains and high blood pressure. I always told him that his attitude would be the death of me, but it seems it will be the death of him!

For the 16 year old; t is only hormones they raise their evil heads now and later in life after 45ish...daily exercise outdoors, meditation, reading what inspires you, removing focus from self and on to others all help...not to mention not taking yourself too seriously and laughing at yur flawed self helps too!
