I am a 62 year old widower who lives by myself and has nothing to do but complussive eating. Can someone please give me some way to correct this bad habit? I work hard to keep myself in good shape, but when ever I have nothing to do, I eat everything and anything I can get my hands on. I am a dibetic and do not keep sugar in any form in the house. Thanks for everything...

Hi, I am 41 years of age,I do love food. I just wanted to say that I disagree with your comment about canned veggies are good for you. They are good but, they are very high in sodium,I suggest that we just stay with fresh or frozen. Maybe if you do try the canned veggies it should be rinsed before cooking to eliminate high sodium intake. Thank you

I don't use olive oil. Coconut oil is a lot healthier than olive oil because it has something called medium-chain-triglycerides and lauric acid.

When I feel thirst and feel tired I avoid cofee, tea or juice instead used to drink light buttermilk mixed in drinking water which make more healthy and active. Posted by achatha1@yahoo.co.in on Tues,Sept. 13,2006, 6:05 am SRT

Eat only organic bland foods without any flavor, exercise daily, never get upset when others take advantage of you, dirve slowly and laugh when everyone cuts you off, etc. and live one more year of a nothing life.

I am man of 52 years old, with my experience using fresh buttermilk will solve most of problem regarding heart and hypertension. Fresh fruits can give you better stamina. A little yoga will keep all your problems under control. This is suitable for physically challenged persons also

Whole grain is not that good as it is carbohydrade just as sugar and wheat. Too much carbohydrade is at the source of insulin related problems, including cholesterol. So lower your carbs and eat good fat (fish, game meat)...you will be good!

I am a 64 yr. old widow, and I had the same problem. My doctor gave me Zoloft, and it stopped the compulsive eating. I have been on 50mg. for 4 months, and feel great, and am doing creative things, like art work, that I had not done in years. I print pictures from the internet and frame them for gifts.
