well with regards to No. 4 (sleeping on the left side etc....) , i believe is not a myth at all. you guys are right about that rationale.. and in addition to that for those who are not pregnant, it is also recommended that you sleep on your left side too since the flow of your digestive system is going to the left..starting from the right-Cecum(the beginning of the large bowel) to the ascending colon to the transverse colon to the descending colon to sigmoid colon to rectum). So there is pressure going to the left and digestion works better in this sense.

Thank you for your reasonable advice about keeping cats and pregnant women safe and healthy. However, testing healthy cats for toxoplasmosis is not recommended because the disease is not acquired from cats but rather from old feces and undercooked meat. Most laboratory tests conducted for toxoplasmosis in cats are titers for IgM and IgG antibodies. Because cats do not usually develop antibodies during the oocyst-shedding period, a Toxoplasma titer does not necessarily provide useful information, and results to determine whether a cat has been infected may be misleading. A positive result means that a cat has been infected, has shed oocysts, and will probably never shed oocysts again, whereas a negative result could mean that a cat was never infected, was so recently infected that antibodies have not yet appeared, or was infected in the past but for some reason did not develop antibodies. More inforamtion on pregnancy and toxoplasmosis is available on our web site at www.humanesociety.org. Don't forget the old "Don't dye your hair" myth, it's still safe to dye your hair, the chemicals are not going to absorb through your scalp and into your blood stream any more than any other liquid your body comes in contact with, the problem is if you dye your hair in an enclosed area where you are inhaling the fumes, thus why, when I dye my hair I open up all the windows to allow as much airflow into the room as possible.
