Approximately 4 months ago I was taken off Glipizide-metformin (by my request) by my Physician. I found that taking this medication after a long period of time it was as if poison was being shot into the bones of my feet. Of course because I have Type 2 Diabetes, both myself and my Doctor wrote the pain off as neuropathy. However, three times over a two year period due to my work schedule I was unable to renew my Rx for the glypizide-metformin. All three times over a two to three day period I noticed a change in the pain of my feet. Now that I am off of the medication my other meds had to be adjusted but there is a remarkable difference in the pain in my feet,
I realize that every drug has different side effects for each person, but if I can help just one person from suffering unnecessary pain, it is worth my while to pass on this information.
