Yes, I have type 2 diabetes, and I take metformin. But my biggest problem right now is the numbness in my feet. I feel like I'm wearing tight fitting plastic gloves on them. This is not a fun problem to have and I wish parents would watch what their children are eating. I live in So. Ca. and see to many young ones so fat they can't even get around. Believe me if they don't do something about it now they will pay for it in the end. Sincerely, Beverly

How about cinnamon for the treatment for diabetes.metformin causes diarrhea and nausea.

i was diagnodes with type 2 in 2004,i suspect i had the disease for some time,but due to frequent illness with chronic fatigue,i think the doc.just didnt do his job.anyhow he prescribed diaformin and diet and exercise,which i did.i lost 12 kilos and now dont need the medication.and feel much better.

WHEN MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON METFORMIN I STARTED LOSING WEIGHT.I LOST ABOUT 50 lbs.I HAVE STARTED WATCHING MY SUGAR INTAKE BETTER.MY BLOOD SUGAR STAYS BETWEEN 120 TO 150 .I TAKE 2000 MG EVERY DAY HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A WEIGHT LOSE WHILE TAKING METFORMIN?
