    persons taking vegetarian diet only need supplements.

    I think many people that go to work, especially young, eat fast food, or restaurant food that is not very healthy at all. After work they don't prepare anything much, especially those single. Maybe they eat a little take chips and drink a beer to relax. They seem to do fine though. I think a work that includes a good salary, goodstatus and enough individual accomplishments, make people strong, healthy and mentally agile. what I mean is, that eg. vitamins can be helpful in special problems that may be partly psychological, partly maybe inherited, like skin problems or certain diseases that have not yet scientifically been proven, but may have something to do with lack of some special particles or disturbed absorbtion. Everything in science doses not have an explanation. In practice air pollution and similar conditions can cause different sorts of symptoms in sensitive people. Using right pills sometimes can help.

    Do you really think that the majority of people are eating a well-balanced diet with five fruits and vegetables per day? Nutrition surveys revealed that a considerable number of people are not eating an adequate supply of essential vitamins. A regular intake of multivitamins can prevent nutritional deficits.

    With today's FDA's recommended servings, it's very very difficult for anyone to get them all in. I've heard nine servings of fruits/veggies, along with grains and good lean meats. I know very few college students my age who can get a decent meal even once a week. People like me need the multi's to get in all the stuff we can't on our own.

    I recommend taking multivitamins as normally modern day diet does not provide adequate nutrients essential for immune system.However do not take beyond recommended dose.
