Thank you for standing up for the truth Dr Margolis! The Plan B situation shows us that a party against too many govt rules & regs is quite happy to use those very rules & regs they're against just to get their way. The way that they spun the facts into lies about Plan B is outrageous. Under this administration the FDA is going the same way as the EPA - don't expect those agencies to be able to protect us from the things that may really cause harm. The FDA & EPA agency heads are political appointees who are not concerned w/ safety or science.

i really feel the plan b pill is giving people permission to be more permisciuous and it will cause an increase in std's. This option is being forced on pharmacist who have a moral obligation and right to not want to dispense this medicine otc or not. Doctor's have the right to choose whether or not they will perform an abortion. You cannot go into an internal medicine md and expect to receive and abortion if you want one. So, why should you be able to walk into a pharmacy and get the pill from a pharmacist who is opposed to its use? Not passing judgement on the individual needing the plan b, but as a pharmacist, i feel i should have the right to say I am not going to dispense medication to an individual when i know what it's intended use is for. The customer has the choice to take the medicine, but as the pharmacist, i also should have the choice to not dispense it because it goes against my moral and religious beliefs. I do not want to be a means to the end.

Is the "72 hour pill" only effective within 72 hours of having unprotected sex? I didn't understand that really. So if it it has been more than 72 hours than the pill will not work?

I completely agree with the pharmacist...I also work in a pharmacy and will not sell this product. I let someone else help them because i believe that a child, in any circumstances, is the best thing god can give a woman. For a lot of women, conceiving isn't an option but if you're able to and fool around and get pregnant, take responsibility.......

I have been trying to conceive for over 6 years and adoption is too expensive. It makes me sick that these people can get pregnant and just take a pill to get rid of their "problem". If every woman who took these pills or had an abortion would put their babies up for adoption instead, they would be solving a big problem for 2 parties - the child that they actually let LIVE and the parents who are dying for a baby. But I guess their "convenience" is more important to them.

I see nothing wrong with the "plan b" pill. This is not a form of abortion seeing as how it stops the sperm from fertalizing. So there is no embryo formed yet. It is after the 72 hour mark when the egg and sperm fertalize that there is a beginning of a embryo. At the same time I am not encouraging young females to have unprotected intercourse just because there is that option. Have some kind of morals and learn to be an adult. If you are going to act like an adult then also take along the responsabilty of one.

i belive it is a good idea to have a plan b how ever we need to come up with better forms of controll that protect our teenagers if i had to fork out 25-50 dollars everytime my teenager had unprotected sex i would. the reason why teen pregnaancy rates are so high is because most parents are in denial they rather wine and complaine and yell at there teenager to stop haveing sex instead of sitting hem down talikng about the risks and how to be responsible about having sex for all u parents that dont know what responcible means it means getting off your butt and getting them to a doctor to get birthcontroll and dont use the excuse "my child isnt resopnclble enof to take a pill everyday" i got news for you there are outher methoinds some only need to be messed with once a month i think that if you do your job as parents we shouldent need to worry about new drugs that are over the counter because our childern are allready prepared for there saterday night adventure. we CANNOT stop our teens form having sex if we forbid it in the house they will go somewhere else by the lake, middle of the desert, even behind an ally.i dont know about you but i personally dont want to see my child on a slab because i couldent swallow a little pride for her safty
