I've watched a show on PBS about this very subject. Scientists are finding ways to combat this disease, and in several studies they've been successful. At least a gene has been found to be linked to Alzheimers. But, at least drugs that help slow it down really help. It's already been proven that keeping your mind active and body too helps to reduce or slow down the risk of getting it. They're trying. It's going to take time to figure it out. But God forbid if I did get it, I would rather be dead.

" Alzheimer's Disease " " A Time To Heal " This disease is preventable, treatable, and curable; but not by present day standards, pertaining to the practice of medicine. " Dead Flesh, Does Not A Brain Compose ! " " Over ten years ago, I have contacted numerous officials, proclaiming, that I have the knowledgeable information to cure this dreaded affliction of mind, soul and body. How many more souls, must perish, before these illuminations will be realized? Let us bail out natural, life enhancing treatments; not fortune five hundred, diversionary walks for cures ! Today, was Mother's Day, and my Mother sits, incontinent, in a nursing home, fully tranquilized, with no proper therapeutic applications, for healing brought forth, just more smoke and mirrors of corrupt scientific abstracts and pharmaceutical negative conjectures. " " Alzheimer's Disease, And, The Ubiquitous Palliation Of Senescence. " On this day , I have seen the sorrow, and hopelessness of iatrogenic manipulations. Feeding all those innocent souls, negatively afflicted, with toxic hairs of the natural, three score and ten dog. The predation of their search for light; compromised by horrible, natural culminations, of increased life spans; unwillingly vegetating, in dreadful confusion, and painful silence. Lost and alone, in their final mental motions, and seeking purpose, in all of their previous, hopes, aspirations and confusions. Being not fully aware of nature's natural cycles, they are floating in a vacuum of self doubt, and slowly withdrawing from the world, that they once knew, and loved. The universal clock, continues to click, in a forward and perpetual motion; with each passing second, delivering us all, to our predestined natural habitats, which initially implanted us, first in the womb; and now transplanting us, back to the earth, from which we sprung. Once again, to become ashes, and dust, in the wind. Senseless, and seedless, and again vegetating, awaiting for the cytoplasmic, re-fertilization, of the forbidden fruit, that will reincarnate, all of our shared and genetic interactions. So that we may once again, willfully bloom, and continue to grow, and finally become the grass, which is the first reincarnate state of being. Gently swaying in the light, and warmth, of the sun, and also, the cool breezes, of the moons reflective influence. Earth To Earth, Ashes To Ashes, Dust To Dust. " nana4141
