I would think a low fat diet should be encouraged for premenopausal women more than postmenopausal women. Prevention is everything with heart disease and breast cancer. Why wait until women are postmenopausal to encourage a lowfat diet? However, the use of good fats like olive oil, fish oil, evening primrose oil, shouldn't be detrimental to an otherwise lowfat diet. We know those fats protect against heart disease and breast cancer. I would also encourage staying away from using plastic in the diet since that promotes excess estrogens that aren't necessary to a diet. But that's another article for another day, I'm sure.

Did several studies examine exercise in this equation with a low fat diet for breast cancer and heart disease? Were there any other contributing factors about these studies like which low fat foods worked best?
