That has to be true in my case. I went from drinking a 2 liter of reg coke per day to drinking the same amount only diet. Well I never lost a pound by doing that. When I look at the amount of calories I cut out, and I didn't replace them with food, it always amazed me that the weight didn't just fall off. That really has to be the only explaination for me.

I like how this article does not mention how HFCS causes your stomach to believe it isn't as full as it really is. Oh wait, I REALLY DISLIKE THAT. Considering it is the sole reason HFCS causes obesity. HFCS is in just about every single thing that enters your body in fast food chains (soda, buns, wraps, meat, etc), now why do you think that is? Its because the more HFCS you eat, the more you want to KEEP EATING, because your stomach stops sending you the signals to STOP EATING. Sounds like the cause of obesity to me.

If you want to loose weight i have the answear: cabbage. That's right cabbage! I dont allow my gf to eat anything else, and because eating the same thing every day gets old quick somedays she doesnt even need to eat! This has been going on for the 3 months ive been with her and she has lost 30lbs! I dont allow her to ever be apart from me for more then 30 min so I know she isnt, what i joke call "cheating". Either way she is nice and thin, pretty cute too! Word of caution: It does stink up the house sometimes depending on how you prepare it. So if she wants to steam or boil it she knows she has to do it outside.

Ahuh. I'll say this. I drank a 2-liter of soda a day, sometimes more, all year, last year. And I didn't gain or lose any pounds. I've weighed the same I had for years before. I've been drinking soda like a fiend since childhood.

What about diet sodas? Isn't it true that in addition to being linked to serious health problems such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and even cancer, artificial sweeteners such as aspartame cause an increase in appetite? If so, consumption of diet sodas can lead to an overall increase in food consumption, thereby contributing significantly to our nation's obesity problems.

My husband and I have stopped drinking all sodas or any kind of sweetened drink. We have both lost weight since we stopped. And we haven't lost weight in YEARS. So I am sure it is a result of the sugary drinks.
