having published a few papers in the field, i had followed this study since its inception... due to the specious design, it was doomed to fail. in fact, it would seem that was the intention all along. don't believe these smear tactics. contrary to what the author boldly and ignorantly proclaims, this study puts nothing "to rest"... other than the notion that mainstream medicine your best interest in mind. the sad fact of the matter is that the pharmaceutical industry has corrupted the american medical association so deeply that soon even healthy people will be prescribed drugs for disease prevention and diet and lifestyle will have gone by the wayside.

As a holistic physician, I recognize that mainstream media has a vested interest in keeping the drug companies happy. When was the last commercial break on TV that you saw which didn't have an ad for some drug? Ever look at Reader's Digest? So yet ANOTHER hit piece on a nutrient is not surprising or alarming. It is status quo. It's preparing the population for Codex Alimentarius, look it up! The truth is that taking the standard medical approach of "take this drug for that condition" is utter nonsense, except in first aid situations. For instance there are over 250 causes of headache. To get to the root cause, one actually has to do some doctoring, not just prescribe a painkiller to stop the headache. You can do that at home. In the case of vitamin E, one has to ask the question "what form of vitamin E are we talking about"? Who is actually asking this, anyone? A "vitamin E deficiency" can be caused by taking D-Alpha Tocopherol (vitamin E) in large doses, where it fights for absorption (competitive inhibition) of Beta, Gamma, and Delta Tocopherol (All vitamin E as well). So which one is deficient? Which one is acting on a specific metabolic pathway which may be impaired? Certainly "Dr" Margolis is not asking the question. It's best to do your homework.

Wow, fooled again. Wonder why it takes 5 - 7 years before we find out a miracle cure is just a fake.
