    I have tried several of these,and they help some. I then had a sleep test done. Now I'am on c pap. It has made all the diferans in the world.

    Sleep is essential to good health; cognition and weight gain/loss are affected by the amount of rest the body receives. People sleep best when they are free of external (and in some cases internal) stressors so it is important to reduce one's stress level as much as possible in the hours leading up to bed time. It is also a good idea to establish a routine, sleep at a specific time each night and do sleep when you feel sleepy. I also recommend that if a person is sleepy they should have a warm glass of milk and a small serving of chocolate cookies because the cookies contain chemical tryptophan which is an amino acid necessary for the synthesis of serotonin which is essential to the synthesis of melatonin which is a sleep hormone.
