Great article.. and one not talked about as much as it should be. European countries seem to be much more proactive in treating hormonal issues.... Here in the US we seem to take it as part of aging and a fact of life that people just have to get thru however they can!!! A drastic drop in testosterone can also cause depression in men (as can the erectile dysfunction, weight gain and everything else that comes with it!!) just as menopause and fluctuations in estrogen and other chemical/hormones can cause depression in women!

How can a man naturally maintain or increase testosterone level? I think this topic would be more interesting.

I don't understand the statement about the need for caution in drawing conclusions from the population study. The data shows a correlation between testosterone levels and avoiding a number of health problems. The sample size was large, and the reduction in health problems was statistically too significant to be ignored. The fact that estrogen replacement in women did not show a similar correlation is not relevant, because typically, estrogen replacement therapy uses artificial (patented) forms of estrogen, and not bio-identical estrogen. The article here also fails to mention that besides direct testosterone replacement therapy, one can stimulate their testes to produce more testosterone by using Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), which is the prefered way to get testosterone levels back to normal healthy levels.
