I've been taking expensive daily doses of glucosomine and chondriotin; and have even tried trigosomine, but my knees still have pain and cracking (bone on bone rubbing together) due to my osteoarthritis. I'm 71 and don't think 10 years of glucosomine and chrondriotin have helped me at all.
