So much for the separation of government and religion. To deny stem cell research, is as bad as the laws that supported segration!

How can anyone who is s doctor, supposedly protecting human life condone the murder of unborn children in the name of research? Are our physicians taking classes from Hitler? He loved to experiment with human life too. Or is that there are too many wealthy people like Michael J Fox who are paying for the doctors to murder children in order to save their own lives????

How can research on cells from left over embryos be any different than if they were to be destroyed except that instead of being wasted they are used to heal. In the mind of those who believe it is "killing his children" how does this fact fit in. Shouldn't you be protesting at the clinics that allow those to create a new life through fertilization and also destroy leftover embryos. At least these cells could not be wasted and be kept alive and slated to give medical assistance to those of God's children, both young and old, that are suffering from these horrible diseases. Rich, poor or indifferent Parkinsans Disease, Breast Cancer and most if not all other diseases this research can help are painfully cruel ways to die.

an embryo is still a human being and that is what bush is saying you scientist don't think of life starting at conception but it does. adult stem cells are readily available if you would put out the news on how they can be used and that they are needed, you don't have to kill a person to get them. those are the ones showing the most progress for healing diseases. murder is murder!!!!

All successful uses of stem cells have been found only in adult stem cell research. After much research, there have been no success stories using embryonic stem cells. Why waste any more time trying to use embryonic stem cells because research has shown that embryonic stem cells are unstable. The stated objection within the article to the President's veto is no more than whining and does not hold water. Many people have been blindly led to believe that stem cells can only come from an embryo. When told about the progress and success in using adult stem cells, most people are appaulled at the fact that anyone would suggest using embryonic stem cells that research has proven unstable. I can clearly see the "dumbing down of America" in this article.
