Found this article very interesting to read about snoring problems can mean health risks.

The waxy earplugs do work to block out snoring. Do not push into your ear. Use as the directions tell you to.

My partner snores and has tried many of the remedies mentioned in this article barring surgery. None have worked. We keep a small fan running which circulates air in the room and helps muffle the sound of his snoring. In addition, I use earplugs. His snoring continues; however, my sleep is uninterrupted. Occasionally I still have to nudge him to turnover on his side. I think he has sleep apnea. Problem is I don't think he would use the air machine prescribed to those who have sleep apnea. Pride stands in the way of so many men.

My husband is snoring for over 13 years. For 10 years I have been using air plugs but then started to get ear infections. So I move to another room since I can't take care of kids and have sleepless nights. My husband went to a sleep clinic and discovered that he didn't have a sleep apnea. Doctor suggested a surgery but warned that it's 50/50 chance for him to stop snoring. He had painful operation and painful recovery. He didn't snore for 2 weeks and then snoring started again. I am still sleeping on the couch downstairs.

I have the same issue. I went to a sleep center and they have advised an air machine but that is something that has to be used every night and is very uncomfortable. I am also told that surgury is not 100% cure as I have a friend that had the procedure, it worked for a few years and now he is snoring again. My doctor told me to lose weight especially in the face/neck area to open up the nose/throat area. I think that is the best solution. It works but you must keep the weight off.

Recently, my husband check-in to a sleep clinic and was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Upon recommendation from his doctor, he was able to purchase a CPAP machine and ever since that day, I was able to have a good night sleep in over 10 years.

My husband just recently had major surgery to lessen his snoring. It has helped him tremendously. My advice is go and see a sleep specialist. After that an ear, nose, and throat specialist. If they recommend surgery and you have major snoring issues, I would have the operation. It has improved both our sleep quality, and sanity.

My husband doesn't snore every night so ear plugs have been my answer. I put them on the bedside table and only put them in when his snoring wakes me up. A friend of ours swears by the breath right nasal strips-menthol.

I recently started snoring around the same time I found out I was pregnant. My snoring got so bad at one point, my husband and I were sleeping in different rooms. He said even then, he could still hear me sometimes. We have began sleeping in the same room again, but I still snore. I hate it, sometimes I wake myself up. I am hoping when I have this baby, it will stop. But if it doesn't, I don't know what to do. My husband doesn't sleep well, and I am begining to not sleep well either, because I am so worried about snoring so loud.

I had laser surgery "twice" to reduce or eliminate snoring. Both times it was ineffective and the only thing reduced was my wallet. Doctors have recommended removal of my tonsils but I'm skeptical this will work after the 2 failures.
