These are great tips! I also would like to say that people don't talk much about the amounts of antioxidents that we should be eating. I get mine from liquid chocolate with an ORAC score of 135,000per bottle at http://clv.chocogevity.com

I was with you until: "Any stress-busting strategy works, as long as it evokes your relaxation response, a physical state of rest that lowers heart rate, breathing rate and blood pressure. For me, a nice, easy jog with great tunes on my iPod Shuffle relieves my tension--about 30 minutes into it," To me jogging does not lower breathing rate or heart rate, and in the short term, does not lower blood pressure. You may want to set aside some time to meditate on a better example. ;)

So if my parent died of lung cancer and smoked all their life does that mean cancer runs in my family? According to drs. it does. Sorry I just don't buy it. I'm more inclined to beleive that you tend to eat and exercise and "live" like your parents did and so you will end up much the same way. Change your ways and change the outcome........

I'm tired of seeing health articles advising people to avoid the sun. These articles fail to address the health benefits of the sun. The sun gives us the ability to create vitamin D in its purest form when it hits our skin (essentially, our own form of photosynthesis). Many cancer patients (including skin cancer) have been found to have insufficient levels of vitamin D. Furthermore, the sun regulates our sleep-wake cycle which is incredibly important for those with insomnia. The point I'm making does not mean that we should get sunburned as this does damage the skin. The point I'm making is avoiding the sun can lead to health problems and that we need to realize the sun is not our enemy. Staying inside and being exposed to large amounts of artificial light is more of a problem.

Woah, I did not intentionally send all those comments; I only clicked "post comment" once. I don't understand why Yahoo did that. Sorry about that though.
