Since there aren't any "real" comments pertaining to the article I thought I would leave one. These are all great foods because they are all "real" foods. Cutting out processed foods always helps in weight loss and eating real fruit (pomegranates) instead of juice does as well!

yeah okay, advocate for the most fattening foods - steak and eggs..not to mention insanely cruel in terms of animals. a vegan diet will do wonders for anyone - try that instead!

I 100% vouch for a steak in your diet. It is very filling because of all that protein. The key is portion size. A 4oz steak has 100-200 calories depending upon the cut, but if you pig out on a big 12oz steak at Outback, you've missed the point. Pair a small portion with some veggies and you'll be in great shape.

Funny how that works, isn't it? Several of these items are ones considered "no-nos" by the diet industry, yet they're the ones that help with weight loss. Not the only ones, granted. Cutting back on deep-fried fast foods, and getting more veggies and fruit can't be stressed enough in US culture, because we have problems with both. But it does turn the tables somewhat on the conventional wisdom of "get rid of all saturated fat" that had a lot of us eating only sprouts and "lite" everything-!
