two sets of 12 reps or 5 minutes a day? Which is it? I can do two sets of 12 reps in 2 minutes...does that mean I should actually do 5 sets of 12 reps to get the abs I want?

Any type of ab exercise works as long as its slow, controlled, full movements. Too many people flop around trying to do a million sit ups while ten slow, concentrated sit ups will be so much better.

This may help to strengthen your abs but it will not burn fat. Sorry, but you need to do cardio---namely High Intensity Interval Traning---to lose that gut (plus strict dieting). Good old squats and dead lifts will make your core just as strong as this, however there's no way to burn those excess cals than to run.

this makes absolute sense.. It is about the consistency and sticking to the plan. It sounds so easy to set aside 5 minutes each day yet many can't do it. The other half of the equation? Eat properly. Lots of veggies and fruits and reduce portions. Snack on healthy food between meals and try not to eat anything a couple of hours before bed.
