This is all well and good, but completely un-realistic. I usually get to bed around 9pm to wake at 4 to head to the gym near my office so I can be at work by 7:30 - to get off of work at 4:30 and then come home.....I get home between 5:30 and 6pm. If I was to take a full 8 hours sleep every night, I would be going to bed at 7:30 or 8pm - that is TOTALLY unrealistic.....and really, I've read that 8 hours can be TOO MUCH sleep.....and that 6.5 hours is actually 'doable' and for the record, I seem to do rather well with 6.5 hours sleep. I think this all well and good if someone has the luxury of sleeping a full 8 hours - but for those of us that work, commute, have a family and want to fit in a workout regime in the mix - where does one fit in the 8 hours of sleep??? Seriously?

I found this to be very true....I am a fitness trainer and I compete in figure competitions.... I'm also a mother of three and work for a finess center and personal train on my own... up late nights sending out news letters, answering e-mails, cooking , cleaning ect... Up early mornings working out and late in the evening before I go home.... Burn me out... my weight loss was very slow But when I start going to sleep at night and sleeping in some morning ... My metabolism was jump started... the weight just start melting off... Your body talks to you.. listen when it says to rest....you will be happy with your results... Just by getting enough rest....pays off..

I agree with this. However, there are a large group of people who have sleep dis orders. In my case the origin of it was exposure to toxic formaldehyde some 20 years ago long before the recent FEMA Toxic Trailers which are in the news. Any suggestions on how to improve sleep and all the benefits that come with the right amount of sleep? Thanks, BusGuy California

I agree with this,I used to stay up very late and i feel like a zombie during the day,not to mention i weigh like 123 lbs,it was horrible. Then i started sleeping more, around 7 to 8 hours and I dropped 8 pounds in 5 weeks and I feel great,I'm more alert during the day and have more energy.

It's true! I wired my jaw shut so I could only drink food for 2 weeks and all I did was lay around online, watch TV, read and sleep and lost lots of weight!
