I have been doing the intervals on the eliptical and burn 400 cals in 32 mins!! I cool down with some crunches on the ball and have noticed a major difference in my body! I used to jog 2 mile a day (which I will occationally to get outside) and don't burn nearly as much. Im still over compensating with my food intake so im not loosing all that much but its deffinately noy fatty anymore! GREAT ADDVICE ON DOING INTERVALS. Oh and it's not fun the first time but after that you'll love it! Christy McLain

I agree. I mix up my long sustained cardio with the high intensity "interval" cardio (1 minute sprint, 1 minute slow sustained and so on) for 25 minutes. This is a great way to mix things up. Another key is to use different cardio methods. Don't stick to the elipitcal or the treadmill only. Use the Bike for a few days, then the treadmill, then eliptical. Use also unconvential methods as well. Jumprope is unbelievable! 1 Min ON/1 Min Rest for 20 minutes - you'll feel it!

Thank you very much. I never knew there was a Postman's Syndrome, but it is exacty what I see. You can walk 9 miles a day and not lose a pound!

Any freakin retard knows this. Fat people are just lazy and stupid. They want instant weight loss and when that does not happen, they give up.

I found this to be true. I bought the 30 Day Shred video from Jillian Michaels of the Biggest Loser. This video focuses on 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of abs, and repeats 3 times with different activities. This 30 minute video, and a small change to my diet have helped me to lose 10 pounds already.

I really like this advice. I never thought about it before. I jog daily. I was my thinnest when I was a senior in high school. For years now, I've been racking my brain....how did I get so slim? Well, I had just started to jog so I would have to stop a lot more than I do now. Maybe that actually worked to my advantage? I would jog fast, stop and walk briskly, jog for a while, and stop again. Perhaps I need to try that again.

I try to do intervals when I do my treadmill. I saw them doing that on the Biggest Loser too.
