Louise Hay has good cds to check out for positive affirmations. Most of the affirmations are helpful for positive self-talk even though I don't buy into some of the affirmations mentioned. It's good reinforcement for cynics, like myself, who rarely have upbeat inner monologues going on inside their head. I find it much easier to listen to the mantras on a cd rather than repeat them myself.

I loved the all people who had chosen the positive self-talk mantra. The mantra I have chosen is: DONT' MISS YOUR FUTURE.

I tell myself to "man up" all the time for a variety of things. It works. Simple positive reinforcement.

I am a senior citizen, I have begun practicing positive attitude whenever possible. I am thankful for what I have compared to millions others who have so little. I meditate for 30 min. regularly and practice healthy eating habits. I believe it is paying off in my daily life. I hope everybody else will follow similar or even better habits.

I work as a nurse in a small unit; therefore, I am in the company of women all shift!!! My mantra is "I can do anything for 12 (or 8) hours". This has been a great attitude adjuster for me!!

nothing new, but not well known. My company offered us classes by Pacific Institute. basically you become what you think about. simple things too. I stopped biting my nails by 'I easily grow long nails" - even used this psychology on my son when all else had failed, and it worked. with him I just said It's not like you to bite your nails - you are a nail grower." he'd roll his eyes, but I repeated once a day, et voila! he stopped biting
