I spotted this article and had to comment. When I was young I taught karate. I often did many slow kicks while balancing. Many times I was standing on a mat we used for throws and ground techniques. The mat made balance difficult. During the years I did the slow kicks and held kicks out, I had a rock hard midsection. Not at 55, I'm still active teaching and studying karate. But I have back problems that make regular stomach and mid section exercises difficult. Seems that what I need is to do these an some of my old exercises. Thanks for the great exercises :)

i laugh when i see the word EASY and ABS together. sure abs can be easily achieved if your already slim but for those who are over weight EASY and ABS does not yet exist. once weight lose is achieved through proper diet and daily cardio, the road to "easy moves for amazing abs" can be taken. for those who read this comment do not let it discourage you. if you are over weight like i was than just hang in there! if i can do it anyone can!

The woman who is writing these articles is doing a good job at plugging self and writing terrible articles that make you want to mosy to selfmagazine.com and try to actually figure out what she is trying to explain. I get more and more disappointed by these articles.

I can't even visualize half of these or what part the towel plays. Some diagrams would have been helpful for those of us who prefer to read on the internet rather than having no option but to watch the video (which I will now go do). Thanks!

the video that is associated with this article is very well done; after watching it, these descriptions make sense. I suggest that every one frustrated with this column go there and get some great new exercises for those ab's!

Do you think we can get pictures of these moves? The instructions are not very visual to my brain.

I've been using a SINGLE ab exercise I learned at 10 Buck Fitness that works your upper, middle, lower, inner and outer ab muscles in one exercise- in ONE set. Been using it for almost a year and man- I will NEVER spend 30 minutes doing 3-4 different ab routines ever again. I got my 6 pack (with a little dieting as well) from 10 Buck Fitness- they rock- best $10 ever spent.
