This is so true, I come from a country (Mexico) where we have more time for simple things, like visiting with friends, having big family reunions, walking, enjoying music, dancing... etc. Life in the US is sometimes too materialistic, too much work and no fun, too many possesions but very few friends or close family members. Thanks for the advice.

Congratulations on your new baby! And thanks for the excellent tips. Way too many sedentary people think of exercise as a luxury that they can't afford to make time for. Those people will have to make even more time for illness. I really enjoy your blog. :)

Spot on as the Brits say! Ever wonder why the Europeans - especially the oldtimers - live longer than most of us and - on many occasions - you see them just sitting at a Bistro sipping a glass a wine? They do it to just "step away," from the realities of life and when you think about it, it ain't such a bad idea, is it!?

How right you are. I have been telling people this for years. Not only do people not move and take care of themselves. We are heading in the wrong direction mentally. We depend upon spell check to correct our spelling errors. Cell phones to remember our phone numbers. We are getting away from using our minds to think. I believe in years to come, we will send ourselves right back into the stone age.

I agree with the author. We are always running somewhere but forgetting or not having enough time for the things of God.
