    The food we eat is a BIG part of the problem in the first place. Make sure you eat more organic foods. Preferably fruits and vegetables. The processed foods in the center ailse of the grocery store contain food additives that lead to obesity and other health probelms.Diet foods are notorious for contaninign these additives. That is why we as a population are gaining more weight despite the increased sales of "diet" products!!! The optimal way to obtain lasting results is: (1) Start with a nutritional cleanse. (2) Start eating more organic fruits and veggies.(3) begin an exercise regimen minimm of 3 days a week Best of luck to everyone with their new year's resolutions!!

    I never think to write my work out down as I do it. It would only take a few seconds and would give me a visual as to if I am progressing in my cardio and weights. Good idea.

    These are excellent points that should be common sense. I lost 40 pounds keeping track of my calories on fitday.com and exercising occassionally. It's really easy :)

    Anyone, and I mean anyone, can cut and paste and write a better article than this. Thank you for the waste of time. Instead of rehashing material people already know why not just give me references to more interesting articles. I should have a food journal? Really? Maybe that would be interesting if I traveled back in time ten years ago and told myself that.
