Interesting blog, but not everyone has office parties and endulges in alcohol. I am a stay at home mom, and even when I did work I go to no parties and I drink very little wine. I can only relate about 3 items on this list to my life. How about some ideas that relate to everyone?

I was dissapointed that she did not suggest that you not take the day off from exercise. To do your regular exercise routine in the am before sitting down to eat, then later after the big event take the dog for a walk then try to enroll the entire family to go walk with you and the dog...

Packed with insightful incentives. Will help me to remember to limit my intake of food and drink, and to stick to my weekly excercise program. The statement that stress is self induced was an eye opener. Keeping it in mind will help me to have a more relaxed holiday season..and also.will help me to let go of the high expectations, that I bring on my self. Just go with the flow, and things will be great!! Happy Holidays!!!.

Hey Tony B, lighten up, you'll live longer. I think your sadness is showing through with your commentary. I hope things improve for you.

I am going to talk to a friend about going to the gym three time a week. It is a good idea. I admired people who can eat over the hoilday and control it. I am going to do it.

No advice about how to not eat around the holidays is going to help me! i wish that it would! The holidays are the only time that I over-eat, so this was not much help, because no article is going to help me when food is put in front of me during the holidays. ***Like I said before~*Thank godness the holidays are the only time that I over-eat*** ***When the holidays are over,I will just have to work hard, and loose those extra couple of pounds that I gained over the holidays!*** Nicve try, though!

I think why even bother going to a party if your not going to eat or drink? Stay home and have a V8?
