"No more excuses. Treat yourself well, love yourself, and get out there and do what you need to do to get it done. Move, try to stop using food to get numb, go say sorry to someone, tell someone they hurt you" You represent one of the most unethical companies in the world (NIKE) and you are giving out mental health and spiritual guidance? Gabby get a life! Or give your nanny(s) a paid holiday and spend time with your kids instead of writing this swill.

Very thoughtfully written; really makes you think. Not just a blog about weight-loss and weight issues, but about the attitude in life, and that's what really matters!

Really needed to hear all this no-nonsense stuff. In a nutshell too! Great affirmations. Wish I'd read this ten years ago. But what the heck, you figure most of this out and then feel really good when you realise others are doing it too. Thanks Gabby.

I am always amazed at how people who were never abused always say lines like, "move on, it happened a long time ago". It is not that easy. I speak from my own experience. Everyday is challenge. I have read so many self help books, even sought professional help. All these things have helped me be a survivor. I have struggled for years with my weight. I agree that moving, aka, exercise is very important, not just for your physical health, but for your mental health, as well. So, those of you who have been abused, don't be ashamed of yourself, and don't give up. Believe in yourself, even when others want to take you down. Just do it!

The way one grows up and the stress in their lives can have an unhealthy effect not only in the attitude about ones physical health but overall mental heath as well. If you look closely you can notice a number of issues relating to ones upbringing. The question is when does one become an adult and realize they now have to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.

This hits the proverbial nail on the head. Filling our stomachs doesn't make us feel FULFILLED, but it can make us feel overstuffed if we do it to often with the wrong things. Food doesn't love us. We can't eat our way to happiness. If we need love, let's start by loving ourselves enough to eat better and feel better.

HI, This really helped me figure out the main thing I was going through. the thing is, is that I was a little overwieght and now I have lost some pounds just to have a little confidence in myself. I never knew then why other people were so hard on me becuase of my looks, but I have learned that certain people I've come across that didn't like me were and still are intitled to their opinion because they are judge mental and harsh. But no matter what, I have heard the saying if someone jumped off a cliff would you do it too, and I've learned to love myself now more better than I did before, because I have to treat people the way I want to be treated, and If I hate myself other people would love to keep me company like misery love company. But if I love myself people will reject me. So I think in life thats how you got to look at things. If this doesnt apply to the people who read this then Know thyself is the best way to keep things good going for you. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
