SO.... we can't eat all these things.... what SHOULD we eat? It is pretty easy to point out things that are not healthy to consume, the difficult thing is suggesting alternatives. Yet again this guy falls short. What is up Yahoo? Why do you have no standards? Do you even have an editor? PLEASE try to put something with substance out there. Read through the articles, figure out what is missing, make suggestions, offer ideas for global revision, not just copy editing. Jeez.

And look, if you didn't go to the movies at all look at the money and calories you would save. Moderation is King!

What I do is to bring in my own "light" popcorn and a couple of beers or soft drinks in an over sized purse. That way you avoid the snack stand routine all together!!

"In fact, each American consumes more than 200 cups of popcorn a year, and it’s no surprise considering a movie theatre’s large bucket is 20 cups in itself! " You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your facts! Each American does NOT comume more than 200 cups of popcorn because I didn't consume any. Perhaps you meant, each American ON AVERAGE....Don't make it sound worse than it is.

You suggest that holding the butter will save a lot of fat when I eat popcorn. But it's unclear if the figures here are for popcorn with or without butter. Please let us know!

I have friends that work at the movies. There is something worse that all that calorie intake! I just learned that they found rat droppings in the kernels and still are told to pop the corn. Not only does the scare of a heart attack from all that sat. fat scare me, but the fact that rats carry diseases too. I would rather sneak in food that is healthy.

You are so right! Many people don't realize how many calories and fat grams they take in just munching on traditional snacks at movies, shopping malls and watching TV. I started writing down everything I eat and I have now lost 49 lbs. by being aware of what goes into my mouth. Try it, it will surprise you!!!
