moderation is key,I'm sure no one goes to the movies everyday and down's a large popcorn, large candy and large soda. I take my own water and small candy and get a small or med. popcorn to share. Dang what' s a movie without popcorn. you can pop your own low cal. stuff and bring it in a big purse.

No wonder after I "pig out" on the popcorn and soda, I feel sick before the movie is over. Next time I'll just put a small bag of almonds and a bottled water in my purse.

I think this article was very helpful. I think we all knew that those concession stand snacks (not just the movies) were pitiful examples of healthful eating but DANG! I don't think I'll order that popcorn ever again. Thanks for the the info.

That stinks on the popcorn! Guess we're supposed to get a small & be done with it before the first scene is over. My kids' pediatricians told me if the kids (and me) want a snack, have popcorn, it's one thing you can't go wrong with. In this article, is the large popcorn plain or does it have topping on it? And why does microwave popcorn have significantly less bad qualities? 1 cup of Orville Redenbachers Movie Theater Butter has 40 calories, 2.5g total fat. If I ate 10 cups at the movies, that's only 400 calories & 25g fat (ick). Act II has even less. http://www.calorieking.com/foods/search.php?keywords=popcorn&partner=&showresults=yes

Who eats a large popcorn themselves....thpppt. I always get extra butter and share the popcorn between four of us if it is a large.

Well, then, what are the best items to eat at the movie theater? Or at least what are the better options?
