This book is a great book and will make you look differently at all foods, the book is very high on fruits and veggies. It is great for grocery shopping and eating out. It made me realize alot of the things that I thought were good for me truly were not. It also contains sodium content in the book, and to the poster who always eats out has a kid and weighs 110 lbs, not all of us have the metabolism of a 3 year old.

Very Helpful. As much info as I read on diet and nutrition which is a daily event, this has brouhgt another valuable angle to the decision making process that I can use. Thank you very much. More would be even better!

um all foods look delicious , but um if you really look at it both foods [ ' the eat this!' & not that] have a good deal of calories yes they might help shed a couple of pounds but it ain't really all that, you also did not mention any thing about excercise

How bout not eating at any of those crappy places at all? Fruit for breakfast? Salad for lunch? Do I really need to state the obvious healthier alternatives that are readily available at most restaurants?

We've been doing this for six months or so but leaving the cheese off the choices as well. I've dropped 10 pounds doing this and by stopping when I'm full instead of when the plate is empty. Great advice for eating out!

I really liked the entry on eating out in restaurants. I find it almost impossible and not easy to find Healthy food. We were going out to eat Fathers Day. Checked the nutritional info. All meals the Sodium was at least 1200 mg. Bad. Good luck out there finding something healthy when you go out to eat.

There are so many diets out there, and none really works in the long run.You only loose weight, if you eat less calories daily, no matter when.Je older you get , je less calories you should eat.All the cookbooks just make money and really do not help anybody.

sometimes I am very scared to eat out, because of the filthy tables and some nasty staff, picking their nose and scratching their heads and face with false finger nails etc.

You really need to list the carbs on these lists. Without the carbs, these lists seem to be incomplete.
