are we, journalistically speaking, that far into the gastronomical silly season that we must endure re-runs of boring articles that tell us we must do as the writer says or die! If people did everything they were told to do in articles like this, we'd all be growing our own veggies, turn vegan, free all the farm and herd animals and destroy every salt mine and fast food joint on the planet. The economic hysteria that would follow would make the current problems with the economy look like a 1 point downturn of the Dow! May I have some salt with my journalist tripe please?

What do I care, eat what you want. Food should be enjoyable, people need to stop being so anal. If you can't control yourself then fine, but stop making me pay for it by having all the junk food banned or taxed

If you really don't like his articles then why do you bother to read and comment about them. Turn off the computer, step away and read a book, go for a walk or dare I say it talk to another individual. Life is too short to complain about it.

"If calories were the only factor that mattered, we'd say that you can feel free to order from the Guiltless Grill with reckless abandon." Your an idiot! Calories are the bottom line! I agree a large amount of sodium isn't a good thing, but sodium doesn't make people fat! To many calories does!

is it true that depending on certain foods you eat, your poop can possibly smell not so bad. Im writing a book about smelling your own poop, research has been hard though

I hesitate to eat out now-a-days. The menus have gotten smaller and so have the dinners. A steak dinner that used to cost $14 is now around $23 and the steak has gotten smaller. The steak they claim is a 16oz. looks like a 10oz. and since you don't usually carry a scale in your pocket it does no use to complaint, and besides it's "impolite". It used to cost about $45 + tip on dinner for my wife and I, now it's about $75 + tip and there's less food on the plate. I understand there's a recession but this is ridiculous. It used to be a 45min. to an hour wait, now it's about 15min. or less. That should be a hint.

Thanks for this - but honestly - the only people who would care about the HEALTHY menu at a fast food place are people who eat out for self image/ like to buy things in packages - or maybe like me; I would have to be really realy hungry but on occasion I actually stop and buy premade food from a fast food place because it is the ONLY choice. My advice - just stay away from the fast food - make your own.

I do have to say - good job on pointing out the salt versus fat issues. However sugar is used in the same way. and I MUST POINT OUT that it is not just restaurants but ALL PRE-MADE/PRE-PACKAGED food is like this. DON'T EAT THAT CRAP!

Really though - everyone is still talking about this LOW FAT idea like its a good thing. Its STUPID. Fat doesn't make people fat. It is elevated blood sugar from eating Cheerios, Corn Flakes, Total, oatmeal, english muffins, panini, ciabatta, toast, pasta, rice potatoes... the list goes on and on - people have been told to eat too much of this crap as a "healthy" choice but its just stupid to eat foods with soooooo little to offer in the way of nutrients and soooooo much caloric energy. THAT IS WHAT'S MAKING YOU FAT PEOPLE!
