Jelly is loaded with sugar (I see you can't use the sugar word).

Better to just take a bromelain / papain supplement. Pineapple is loaded with sugar.

PB&J or pasta are far far away from being an optimal muscle building food............and milk may be ok, although chocolate not so much. === A couple big ones are missing here: eggs, broccoli/cauliflower, potato, oats/oatmeal

Beware, irradiated produce. Recently almonds have been pastuerized, now spinach and lettuce--what next. Irradiated fruits and vegetables benefit the packer and grocer, not the farmer or consumer. The consumer receives an inferior product that appears fresh, but has depleted vitamins and enzymes.

It is no wonder Americans are so fat with advice like this! Pasta with "meat" sauce, pork tenderloin, chocolate milk as PERFECT FOODS! What absolute blatant inaccuracy! This writer should be sued for contributing to the obesity epidemic!! The writer most likely works for the pork or dairy lobby. He threw in a few actual healthy foods so it appears legit. Water is good for you? Wow, that's informative!!

Throw Arctic Zero on here. It's 136 calories per pint, and it has 20 grams of protein in it! Their site is www.myarticzero.com

Yes, there is sugar on this list. Why? That's because modern exercise research shows that sugar helps the body to absorb protein. Lowfat chocolate milk is a great post-workout drink. It helps with IMMEDIATE muscle recovery. Same with PB&J (although it takes longer to get processed than a liquid). Any of you naysayers need a refresher on nutrition as it relates to exercise. And for the people who think that chemically created supplements are better, you are just kidding yourself. The body doesn't need a lab-created fitness product. Wake-up!
