Hi Kelly- Have you tried eating smaller meals, eating what you normally eat, but breaking it up into 5 or 6 small meals at 3 hour intervals. I gave this tip to my niece-who had an uncontrollable Sweet tooth, within 4 wks. of doing this-her desire for sweets went away. She got busy and starting skipping meals, eating 1 or 2 big meals- guess what? Her sweet tooth returned. Also- get more sleep. Take more vitamin C- 3 times a day with a meal. Decreases your sweet tooth. Eat a bowl of soup before a meal- Lentil is really helpful. Eat an apple before 2 meals. Eat off of blue plates. They decrease desire for food. Also paint your kitchen blue- it'll relax you and decrease appetite. It's Feng Shui, also helpful for hyperactive kids. Drink more water-especially before a meal. Sniff some vanilla extract to stop snack attacks. I hope this helps Kelly- Good Luck! For more tips go to- supermarketrxs@typepad.com.

Do I need to multiply those quinoa nutrition statistics by four to get the correct calorie, etc. information for the full cup that you're recommending I should eat, or is this a cooked v. uncooked thing that I'm not grasping? If the former, a full cup of quinoa clocks in at nearly 700 calories (and 119 carbs -- bloat city), so I'll pass. But thanks for the rest of it!
