    I can always use extra smoothie recipes! The first one sounds great! I would add some flax seed and/or some psyllium husk/powder to the first one. My digestive system isn't so strong :( Great article!

    No listing for sugar content? What if you're diabetic? Carbs is listed which helps but you really should have listed the sugar content.

    For those who can't drink milk, try soy milk, almond milk (my favorite, high in protein and tastes sweet), or rice milk. It's true none of them taste exactly like milk, but I think they're even better (and healthier) because they have a touch of sweetness and they can be richer without the fat of whole milk. Any of these should be found in the "health food" section of your regular supermarket.

    I dont have time for blenders and making my own drinks. I have a full schedule and frankly the recipes he provides don't sound the best. You can get the same results (health wise) by visiting your local starbucks and asking for a Vivanno (I prefer the banana chocolate with a shot of expresso). It is very healthy for you with protein and just as few calories as the smoothies listed. If you simply ask them they will make it with nonfat milk instead of the 2% and you cut your fat content from aapproxiamately 4 grams to somewhere around 1-1.5 grams of fat. They also have a banana mango vivanno which has less fat in it than the banana chocolate for those of you who are not chocoholics. The problem with people going into starbucks is they order Large sized cream based drinks (frappucinos) and drink them like they are nothing. Those drinks are just like milkshakes from the local friendly's. They should not be consumed on a daily basis as an add on to your meal. They are two meals in themselves. People need to wise up and stop blaming the restaurants and food establishments for making them fat. They wouldn't sell these things if people didn't like them and continue to consume them in enormous quantities.

    I always use orange juice as a base for all my smoothies. Tastes great and cuts down on overall amt. of calories.

    Aldi's sell a great Fit and Active frozen fruit mix defrost then blend and ice I love it and my kids do too! Kris
