I need to detox from all the junk I have been eating the last 2 months due to my crazy schedule. Can you suggest a plan for me. I'm 57 and active, but I have to lose 15 pounds. Thank you for your support. Carlos

For believers in the Lord, as we meditate, we can think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report and virtuous. That will equally relieve stress. My mom used to say, it may be true but if it doesn't encourage, it should be left alone. Thanks for helping us with tips on helping the body do what God created it to do. Genesis shows striving with man 120 years so maybe we can get even a few more years out of that 100.(smile)

Finally, good advice. Increased activity, a good diet, and decreased stress are solid methods. The water thing is over-rated. Water instead of other drinks is correct, but 8 glasses has been debunked.

I love the way this is done because I can print it out, put it on my refrigerator, and read it over every day until it sinks in & I'm following this great advice! Concise and comprehensive!!! Thank you, Dr. Mao!

Dear Dr.Mao, I just read your article to increase longevity. I find it most interesting. I do practice yoga. I meditate and have now started to drink more water. Sadly, I drink water from the water bottles that are sold in the supermarket. From now on, I shall take your advise and will ONLY drink filtered water. Thank you so much for your guidance. Best regards, Jaya
