    Funny. There was just an article recently in Yahoo stating that the "8 glasses of water" a day is a medical myth. From my understanding, the only way to lose weight is exercise more, and eat less. Drinking 8 glasses of water may make you walk more in the trips to the bathroom, but I don't see how it's suppose to wash fat off of you.

    You are exactly correct. I lost 45 ponds doing the same and eating veggies & meat, no starches.

    I will try harder to drink more water and walk. Stop eating sweets will be hard. I need to lose weight. I am determine to do it this year.

    Yes, totally agree with all of your excellent comments. Eating early and working out most days are key. I eat hot oatmeal with lower sugar most days adding raisons or bananas. Is it true that the older we get the slower our metabolism becomes? It does seem to be tougher to shed that extra pound or two than it used to be!
